What to Seek out When Picking out a Hotel in Harrisburg PA

Choosing a terrific hotel when you’re visiting in Harrisburg PA isn’t typically simple, because there’s so much choice! Of course, you can go for something out of the same Harrisburg guide which everybody and their friend has checked for the last five years, but that does not imply you’re going to have a good experience (the truth is, it might pretty much ensure a terrible one!). As a substitute, it’s actually a smart idea to do a touch of researching, making use of your good friend the ‘net. Locals will always know the perfect hotels in their own city, just what the best hotel rooms are, and the ultimate occasions to go to their top parts of the city. But you shouldn’t go up to anyone you happen across in the airport terminal in Harrisburg, requesting their tips. So as a substitute, we’ve created this brief list of our 3 most-loved hotels in Harrisburg for you.

These are the ones we suggest to our friends when they return to visit – but since we don’t want you to think we’re merely being biased, listed here are the opinions from Yelp.com:

1. Hampton Inn Hbg East
4230 Union Deposit Rd
Harrisburg, PA 17111
(717) 545-9595

I’ve never been to a Hampton Inn I didn’t like. Of all the hotels aimed at business travel the Hampton Inns take the cake. They are not only always clean but they always have the comfiest beds there are.

The Hampton Inn in Harrisburg is no exception. This place is a HOTEL and not a MOTEL (as the bozo before me claimed). The rooms are inside the building and secure from the outside world.

There is a pretty good breakfast here that rotates its selection daily. They also have Frosted Mini-Wheats which I loved and pummeled daily. I like the frosting side :-) .

There was also a mini fridge and microwave which I find is usually standard at the Hampton Inn.

2. Crowne Plaza Hotel Harrisburg-Hershey
23 S Second St
Harrisburg, PA 17101
(717) 234-5021
www.crowneplaza.com

Widely known as “the second-nicest hotel in Harrisburg,” the Crowne Plaza is a fine place to spend the night. Recently remodeled and and possessing a (tiny) fitness center and (small) indoor pool, the Crowne Plaza sits two blocks from the river, two blocks from the train and bus station, and forms the southern boundary of 2nd Street nightlife. Parking ($8/day) is in the garage below, directly accessible from the main elevator.

The Hilton is supposed to be nicer, but this is plenty nice enough for a trip to Harrisburg.

3. Holiday Inn Express
4021 Union Deposit Rd
Harrisburg, PA 17109
(717) 561-8100

Though the water temperatures were a tad drastic, holiday in express was a great hotel. The Breakfast was plentiful and the rooms were exceptionally clean though the corners were a little dirty. The pool was heated and rather clean aswell. The single elevator was a bit slow but overall it was a great stay! The neighborhood was great too with lots of stores within walking distance. DEFINITELY A GOOD HOTEL HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO SOMEONE IN NEED OF A HOME. FREE BREAKFAST! AWESOME SHOWERHEAD TOO!

We’re almost positive that one of the 3 there will suit your style! Harrisburg PA is distinguished for each of these hotels (and more!), due to the fact that tourism is so important to our gorgeous and radiant city. If it turns out you’ve frequented one of these dining establishments and you are unhappy, send us an email to inform us!
